Pump Station Construction including D&C Electrical Works
New pump station construction, associated works and connection into a pressurised water main
Project Overview
Leeuwin Civil constructed a 12-metre-deep, type-40 pump station, associated overflow tanks, and a pressure main (including hot taps) into the existing 300 mm diameter live sewer pressure main for the Stonebridge Estate subdivision site, near Busselton. Leeuwin Civil had completed the brownfield site development of the Stonebridge Estate in March 2020. This had included the adjacent road infrastructure, which had already been handed over the City of Busselton.
Leeuwin Civil was engaged for its specific knowledge and understanding of the ground conditions local to the south west area, and more specifically, to this project site. Additionally, Leeuwin Civil has expertise in pump station constructions for Water Corporation. This provided project stakeholders with surety and confidence in Leeuwin Civil’s ability to complete this project safely and efficiently - given the company's ability to deal with the local ground conditions - in particular regarding dewatering, and the excavation and management of soils.
An element of the works also included a design and construct electrical component, which Leeuwin Civil undertook with its electrical design partner. The project was also delivered under the direct superintendence of Water Corporation.
